The Village

About 1 hour 15 minutes North from Malaga or Granada, Fuente Tojar has about 800 residents. There is a small expat community (about a dozen English), with only 2 living there permanently. If you love rural Spain, this village is a rare find.

Benefiting from many European grants, the village has acquired a Municipal Pool & Sports Centre. Other amenities include a Town Hall, Doctors Surgery, Walk-in Health Centre, Pharmacy, Library and Free WiFi Zone, Museum, Monday & Thursday Market, Primary School, Garage, Bakers, Bars, Banks and Shops. There is also a project to authentically re-cobble many of the side streets.

Priego de Cordoba

About 10k from Fuente Tojar, Priego de Cordoba is a popular tourist destination for Spanish people. Uniquely situated on the edge of a cliff, the town has an original Moorish centre.

Reformation 2006 and 2013

work commenced in 2006 by a team of Spanish Builders and project managed by a Spanish speaking friend.  In 2013 we had the entire roof replaced using wooden vigas.
